Family Portrait Sessions

Family Sessions up to 5 people begin at 200 for local Indianapolis locations within 25 miles of Indianapolis' circle center.   Payment in full is due the day of session.  An invoice will be sent prior to your session with a credit card option.  Otherwise, check or cash is fine for the day of.

Sessions are 1 hour.  Up to 2 locations included.

Final Product: Digital files with printing release.  You will have your own downloadable, shareable online gallery.  Family portraits produce 30-50 digital files with a Black and White copy of each image.

All sessions are on location.  The comfort of your own home is always a good spot, especially with small children.  Parks and any place with foliage or interesting textures are great places as well.  If you aren't sure we can collaborate and pick a great location for you and your family.

 

The best time of day for portraits outdoors is an hour before sunset or a couple hours after sunrise.  Worst times: 12-5.  Unfortunately, the sun in too high in the sky at this point and causes very contrasting shadows on the face.   With children in the summer, evenings can be tough due to their early bedtimes, but a morning shoot is also a great option!

Portrait sessions can feel stressful! Especially with small ones, but go into with an open mind.  Let them run around and play because I can chase them around, have fun, and sneak some fun portraits of them.  Parents, you have fun too!  Consider songs they love or special things you do when you play with them because the goal is to capture you, your family, and the special bond you have when the camera isn't on you!
